Media Lab Book (2008)

Promotional Book for the Media Lab

In the Fall of 2007, John Maeda invited me to design a small book to introduce a new research direction for the MIT Media Lab. From the outside, the book is white and has no printed markings on it. The letters of the "Media Lab" are laser cut on the cover. The cover is cut and folded in on itself, revealing a small sliver of a printed color bar, which is emblematic of the Lab and references Kenneth Nolan's permanent installation in the Wiesner Building, which houses the Lab. The interior of the book is bright and colorful to reflect the energy and spirit of rapid prototyping characteristic of the Media Lab community.
